Understanding the Psychological Impact of Chronic Pain

At a fundamental level, chronic pain is based on biology: Random nerve impulses continue to alert the brain in regards to the ongoing inflammation and tissue damage leading to the mental component which CBD can possibly assist.

One of the reasons why NeuroEndoceuticals proprietary CBD Oil is so beneficial in combatting Chronic pain is the oil can help combat Negative emotions, including sadness and anxiety.

These emotions seem to aggravate chronic pain even more if not treated. For example, people who dwell on their discomfort tend to be more disabled by chronic pain than people who try to take their pain in stride. And among people with chronic pain stemming from a work-related injury, those who report poor job satisfaction fare worse than those who say they like their jobs.

Keep in mind, our CBD oil is NON-PSYCHOACTIVE – meaning that is does not make you “stoned” or produce a “high” (since its ZERO THC), it indirectly works on the CB1/CB2 receptors which play a part in effecting Anxiety and/or depression. So basically, a side effect of our CBD oil is that it can help reduce anxiety and depression in addition to the natural and organic analgesic effect of pain reduction.

So if CBD doesn’t bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors, how does it all work in simple terms?

CBD does not bind directly to cannabinoid receptors. Instead, CBD works by inhibiting enzyme called FAAH (fatty acid Amide Hydrolase), which is responsible for the breakdown of anandamine – THE most important endocannabinoid in the human and animal body. When FAAH is inhibited, it cannot break down anandamide at its normal rate. This leads to a buildup of anandamide in the brain.

So basically, the CBD oil possesses cannabinoids which bind to an enzyme called FAAH; this in turn stops it from doing its job; which is to “break-down” anandamine. Therefore, levels of anandamine naturally increase which in turn has a cascade effect on the entire endocannabinoid system which ultimately provides an improvement in its efficiency. This improvement in efficiency of the ECS provides a noticeable change in mental well-being as well as body organ system improvements.
